What brings the group together, above all else, is a desire to ensure the long-term success of New Vision for Independence in its leadership role to help people of all ages learn to adapt to and overcome visual impairment on their journeys toward independence. New Vision is always on the lookout for talented volunteers with a vision for our organization. To ensure our governing board represents the community we serve, we are especially looking for candidates with any of these backgrounds:
Demographics:
- Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (B/POC)
- Spanish-speaking individuals
Geography:
- Reside or work in Sumter
- Reside or work in South Lake
Experience:
- Healthcare industry
- Retail sector
- Accommodation and food service fields
