What You’ll Do
In this people-centered, detail-loving role, you’ll:
- Partner with our President/CEO to build and deepen relationships with individual and corporate donors
- Manage donor communications and gift acknowledgments (because gratitude is our love language)
- Coordinate donor outreach campaigns (email, mail, and in-person)
- Help plan and execute our special fundraising events
- Maintain tracking tools for donations, outreach, and campaign progress
- Support appearances and communications on behalf of New Vision when needed

Gift Shop Coordinator
Part-time, regular
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Gift Shop Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our gift shop. This new role will be instrumental in maintaining the store’s inventory, creating engaging product displays, collaborating with internal teams for promotions, and exploring exciting new product lines to better serve our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records, preferably using an electronic inventory system
- Track stock levels and generate reports as needed
- Vendor Relations:
- Place and manage reorders with existing vendors
- Research and recommend new product lines, with an emphasis on items relevant to individuals with vision loss or created by blind/visually impaired artisans
- Sales & Fulfillment:
- Process and ship customer orders in a timely and organized manner
- Visual Merchandising:
- Keep displays clean, appealing, and thematically relevant
- Rotate and refresh items regularly to reflect seasonal and program-specific themes
- Collaboration & Marketing:
- Partner with the Community Education department to develop in-store signage and marketing materials
- Participate in marketing campaigns or promotional events as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in retail, merchandising, or inventory management
- Comfortable using inventory management software or willingness to learn
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Passion for accessibility, inclusion, and New Vision’s mission
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or in support of people with vision loss
- Familiarity with accessible product displays and customer service strategies
Expected pay: $15 per hour
Expected hours: 10-15 per week
