Making History in Lake County!
On March 27, Bay Street Players at the Eustis State Theatre introduced a groundbreaking moment for our community with their production of Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief — marking the first live theatrical performance in Lake County to feature audio description.
This milestone was made possible through a meaningful collaboration with the Central Florida Audio Description Initiative, which partnered with New Vision to provide audio description services. Thanks to this effort, individuals who are blind or visually impaired were able to fully engage with and enjoy the live theatre experience.

We are also grateful for the support of the Charles B. McLin and Mary M. McLin Foundation for sponsoring this effort and helping make accessibility a priority in our community.
Accessibility services like audio description are not simply enhancements, they are essential. This event represents an important step forward, and we are proud to be part of a growing movement committed to creating a more inclusive and accessible arts community.
