This month we welcomed Joyce Walters as our Friendraiser and Donor Relations Coordinator.
Joyce is a native to Lake County and is excited to serve at New Vision, where she brings her passion for connection, community, and inclusion to everything she does. Joyce first became involved with New Vision as a parent of a client who graduated from their Teen program and is now off to College. Her heartfelt understanding of the organization’s mission and impact will be an asset.
Before joining the team, Joyce served as a Board Member for New Vision and spent years volunteering and working with other non-profits focusing on FIRST LEGO League, where she helped young people discover the joy of creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving through STEM education and competition.
Joyce loves building relationships and sharing the stories that make New Vision so special. She’s looking forward to deepening community connections, celebrating successes, and continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Two Fun Facts about her are:
- In her younger years, she worked alongside her family in the beekeeping industry until she graduated high school.
- Her husband and oldest son work as Engineers for Walt Disney World (Keeping the Rust off the Pixie Dust!).
